Our Beginning
Neighbor9 began as a small act of love in Birmingham's Smithfield neighborhood — neighbors coming together to meet real needs and serve with joy.
Today, that same spirit continues to grow, spreading one community at a time.

Bringing Hope, Gifts, and Community to Smithfield
Project JoyFulfill is Neighbor9’s signature initiative — a hands-on expression of Community Done Differently.
Each Christmas season, families from across Birmingham come together to bless families in the Smithfield neighborhood with joy and love.
Here’s how it works: families “shop” for other families, selecting gifts that meet both real needs and heartfelt wants. Everything is delivered anonymously, allowing caregivers to experience the joy of providing for their children — and kids to discover that giving can be even better than receiving.
It’s more than gifts. It’s presence, compassion, and hope wrapped together.
